Sr Systems/Requirements Analyst at First Data Merchant Services
November 2012 - January 2014This opportunity was intended to be a short term role assisting the organization with a conversion project. Shortly after being laid off from First Data, they asked me to return for a 9 to 12 month time frame to assist with a large scale conversion project. I gladly accepted the opportunity and worked with a project team to complete a large credit card processing software conversion project. This project involved converting a large volume of merchants from one processing platform to another. This conversion was due to the joint venture between Bank of America Merchant Services and First Data Corporation. The project was completed in January of 2014 and I was again laid off.

Projects and Converison Team Manger at First Data Merchant Services
January 2012 - August 2012Led a project team that executed on federal and card association mandated projects along with value add initiatives for our clients. I was responsible for the typical operational functions related to managing staff; forecasting staffing requirements, hiring, training, performance management, motivating, rewarding/recognizing, goal setting, developing, performance reviews, pay actions, corrective actions, termination. Managed project execution, deadlines, budgets, reporting, staffing, training, process/procedure development, documentation and implementation with a continuous improvement mindset. This leadership role was originally with Bank of America. As a result of a divestiture my business unit was moved to the First Data Corporation. The divestiture was the result of a joint venture between Bank of America and First Data. The change in employers was intended to be short term with the understanding that my team and I would be laid off when all in flight projects were wrapped up. In August of 2012, all projects were wrapped up and the lay-offs took place. (However, I was invited back to assist with a large scale conversion project - see next First Data position)

March 1998 - December 2011Operations Manager in the Bank of America Merchant Service contact center. I was responsible for the typical operational functions related to managing staff; forecasting staffing requirements, hiring, training, performance management, motivating, rewarding/recognizing, goal setting, developing, performance reviews, pay actions, corrective actions, termination. Managed operational metrics of our production environment workflow and contact center Key Performance Indicators. Created and delivered executive level reporting and status updates. Managed project execution, deadlines, budgets, reporting, training, process/procedure development, documentation and implementation with a continuous improvement mindset. Developed and maintained cross functional relationships. Areas managed: Led technical support teams for the first 5 years with BofA. Then led a group of internal account managers responsible for client retention and sales. My final role with Bank of America was as a leader of a project group that executed on federal and card association compliance mandates as well as value add projects for our nearly 1 million clients. During my career with Bank of America, I was fortunate to have attended many leadership development courses as well as Six Sigma Green Belt training. I also was fortunate to have worked with and in mentorship with many great leaders during my 13+ years in with Bank of America. My unit was moved to First Data as a result of a joint venture between Bank of America Merchant Services and First Data. At that point I became an employee of First Data.
